With the Logies finally being one week away its time to dig up the history of our contenders. This year I’m doing it a little differently and starting with the newbies first. So with that in mind lets kick off with Amanda Keller

Amanda Keller has a long and varied history on our screens but where did it all begin?

Her first professional media job was in 1983 as a researcher for the popular children’s television show, Simon Townsend’s Wonder World! She was later a researcher and producer for Good Morning Australia By 1985, she was a researcher and producer for Ray Martin’s Midday show,

In 1997 she appeared in the short-lived series Extra Dimensions which looked at sustainability and human potential it was axed after one season. Keller then signed on for beyond 2000 where she won numerous awards the United Nations Association of Australia’s Media Peace Award in 1989, and the Michael Daley Award for Science Journalism.

In 1994 she worked with Andrew Denton on Denton and combined her scientific knowledge with her love of popular culture and weird and wonderful things. When the show wrapped a year the duo hosted a radio show on Triple M for 5 years. During this time Keller made regular appearances on shows like the panel and Good News Week and Rove Live.  In 2004 she hosted Mando Things for the ABC before returning to radio in 2005 alongside Brendan “Jonesy” Jones on Sydney’s WSFM breakfast show a partnership that is still going strong today.

From 2006 to 2008 she made regular appearances on Tv  From Australia’s Brainiest kid David Trench Tonight and The Nation. Amanda took part in Dancing with the stars in 2006 and came 6th and Spicks and Specks and 20 to 1 just to name a few.

In 2009 she took on the role of the Baby Bombers team Captain on Ten’s Talking About Your Generation for four years.

In mid-2012 Amanda Keller began hosting Ten’s lifestyle program The Living Room. The show is now in its 6 year and has scored TV Week Logie nominations sinch 2013. In 2013 the show was nominated for most popular lifestyle program but missed out on the award two years in a row.

In 2015 Amanda received her first most popular presenter nomination but missed out she would once again be nominated in 2017.   But it wasn’t all bad news with The Living Room finally picking up Most Popular Lifestyle Program an award it would it would win in both 2016 and 2017.

On Sunday Amanda has her first shot at gold and presenter award Will she finally be rewarded for all her hard work?
