Ellie Drennan Wins The Voice 2015

16-year-old  Ellie Drennan has been crowned winner, of The Voice.

Drennan, 16, the youngest winner of The Voice Australia, lands a recording contract with Universal Music, $100,000 in prizemoney and a Ford Kuga.

Joe Moore and Nathan Hawes, both from Team Madden, were placed second and third in the Grand Finale, with Liam Maihi from Team Ricky taking out fourth place. 

Tonight, Ellie and the Top 16 opened the Grand Finale with One Republic’s I Lived, followed by a breathtaking performance of Halo by Beyoncé alongside her Coach Jessie J. Taking to the stage again before the show’s Top Two were announced, Ellie performed Nothing Compares to You by Sinead O’Connor, followed by her brand new single Ghost, before being crowned the show’s winner.

Ellie wowed the Coaches in the Blind Auditions with her performance of Adele’s Take it All. When called on by her soon-to-be Coach Jessie J, the young songstress expertly performed an acapella version of Lorde’sRoyals.

In the Battle Rounds, Ellie was paired with fellow teen Shyjana Terzioska and they battled it out to Sia’sElastic Heart. Ellie and Simi Vuata were saved from performing in the Super Battle with their Coach Jessie awarding them a Fast Pass straight into the Top 16 and The Voice Live Shows.

Across four weeks of Live Shows, Ellie wowed audiences and Coaches with performances of Team by Lorde, Lean On by Major Lazer and DJ Snake featuring Mo, California Dreamin’ by The Mamas and The Papas, and finally an acoustic version of Katy Perry’s I Kissed a Girl.

On her win  Ellie Drennan said: “I honestly can’t believe I just won! This has been the most amazing experience. Thank you to all my friends and family and of course Jessie J for supporting me through this and always seeing the best in me. Thanks to everyone who voted for me and making this happen. What a ride!”

Ellie’s winner’s single, Ghost, is available for download on iTunes   Ellie will release a 10 track album on September 11, this will include her new single Ghost.
