Eleven premieres Kuu Kuu Harajuku

Gwen Stefani’s new animated children’s series, Kuu Kuu Harajuku, will make its world premiere this Sunday on Eleven

Executive Produced by Gwen Stefani, produced by Moody Street Kids and Vision Animation, and commissioned by Network Ten, Kuu Kuu Harajuku joins a stable of award-winning children’s programs on Eleven.

In addition to her Executive Producer role, the Grammy Award-winning singer performs the opening music title to the series and is the inspiration behind the main character, G.

Kuu Kuu Harajuku follows G as she forms a musical group with her friends, Love, Angel, Music and Baby. Gwen created the original Harajuku Girls characters when she was writing her first solo album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby.

Together the girls sing and dance up a storm but villains, aliens and other Harajuku-style catastrophes are always lying dormant in an attempt to impede their success.

Gwen hopes young viewers will embrace the core values of the Harajuku girl characters, who are full of self-expression, confidence, uniqueness and curiosity. They are stylish, determined and creative, and never give up on chasing their dreams.

Gwen said: “Working on Kuu Kuu Harajuku has been a dream come true. It’s been incredible to see the characters and the world they live in come to life.”

Kuu Kuu Harajuku makes its world premiere on Sunday  at 10.00am on Eleven..
