The gripping new US mystery drama series Manifest will  premiere later this week on Nine.

Manifest, the biggest new show to launch in America with 10.4 million viewers, explores the intersecting lives and mystery surrounding a planeload of people trapped in a bizarre time warp when their flight lands – forcing them to rebuild their shattered world and discover the ultimate purpose that is their destiny.

When Montego Air Flight 828 lands safely after a turbulent flight, the crew and passengers are relieved. But within those hours onboard, the world outside ages five years, the plane is presumed lost at sea, and mourning family, friends and colleagues of the passengers and crew give up hope of finding them.

Faced with the impossible realisation that everyone believed they were dead, the 191 passengers on Flight 828 are all given a second chance at life. But when their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of them realise that they may be destined for something greater than they could ever imagine.

Manifest follows the lives of the fractured Stone family who were on board Flight 828 the day it disappeared: Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh), her brother Ben (Josh Dallas) and Cal (Jack Messina), Ben’s terminally ill 10-year-old son with only months to live.

As stories unfold through the lens of the Stone family and the other passengers wrestling with their interrupted lives and relationships, the US government continues to investigate the bizarre anomaly of Flight 828.

Manifest premieres Wednesday, October 10, at 8.30pm on Nine
