Glee Star Cory Monteith has been found dead at the age of 31.Monteith played Finn Hudson since the show started in 2008.
Police say the cause of death was not apparent upon initial examination, though there did not appear to be any foul play.
“ Paramedics responding to an emergency call found Monteith, , dead at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in the city centre, Vancouver Police Department acting chief Doug LePard told a news conference.
In April, a representative for Monteith, singer, said the actor was at a rehabilitation facility for an unspecified substance addiction.
Montieth’s spokeswoman, Melissa Kates, said in a statement, “We are so saddened to confirm that the reports on the death of Cory Monteith are accurate.”
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic news,” read a statement from Glee producers, Fox and 20th Century Fox Television. “Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones” . An autopsy to determine cause of death was set for Tuesday Australian Time.
