Case Closed. The Good Wife Comes To An End

After seven seasons it’s almost time to say farewell to one of TV’s much loved series The Good Wife.

The Emmy and Golden Globe award winning drama has followed the turbulent marriage and rise and fall of the careers of Alicia Florrick, played by Julianna Margulies, and Peter Florrick (Chris Noth).

Over seven seasons, The Good Wife has garnered high praise for its outstanding cast and its sharp, compelling writing.

Julianna Margulies has collected two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award for her long-running performance as Alicia Florrick and Christine Baranski has received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series for her role as Diane Lockhart.

Former regular cast member Archie Panjabi won the Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series Emmy in 2010, while Martha Plimpton and Carrie Preston were honoured with Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series Emmys in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Last week in the penultimate episode last night set up a gripping cliff-hanger for the series finale: will Peter ultimately be found guilty and wind up in jail?

That is not the only question to be answered in the finale of The Good Wife. Will Alicia follow through with the divorce from Peter? What will happen to Alicia’s love affair with Jason? What will be the fate of Alicia and Diane’s firm Lockhart/ Florrick? And will the ghost of Will Gardner (Josh Charles), Alicia’s former lover, make one last appearance?

How will The Good Wife story end? find out 9:30pm Wednesday on Ten
