This weeks Can of Worms could be a lot of fun or car crash telly with guests Brynne Edelsten, Alex Perry and Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann
According to new research published in the UK, women check their reflection an average of eight times a day and will happily use the reflection from other people’s glasses and phone screens to ensure they are looking their best.
With Australians spending more than $1 billion a year on cosmetic procedures, and with more than 45,000 young Aussies citing body image among their top three concerns, is there an ugly side to the quest for beauty?
Join host Chrissie Swan and celebrity guests Brynne Edelsten, Alex Perry and Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann for the show that welcomes opinions of all shapes and sizes.
Born in Oklahoma and growing up in Arizona with her siblings, Brynne describes herself as “a simple, wide-eyed girl”. The former fitness instructor married the flamboyant medical entrepreneur Geoffrey Edelsten in November 2009, in what is referred to as one of the most extravagant weddings Australia had ever seen. Brynne spends her time working with the family charity group, Great Expectations. She is a keen fashionista and plans to open a boutique specialising in the glamour gowns she is renowned for wearing on the red carpet. The media personality and socialite lives in Melbourne with Geoffrey and their beloved pup, Juddy.
Australian fashion designer and television personality, Alex Perry, adored clothes and “beautiful things” from an early age. In 1992 he opened his first atelier, creating gowns, corsets and sheaths which became the Alex Perry signature trademark. Perry’s runway shows have featured models Linda Evangelista, Megan Gale and Miranda Kerr, and his clientele include high-profile celebrities Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Hawkins and Eva Longoria. Unapologetic about his love of gyms, diets and tanning, Perry openly admits to using botox in an effort to look “as good as possible”.
