Bake Off reveals finalists for season 3

The final three bakers who have made it through to the grand finale of The Great Australian Bake Off were revealed during last night’s penultimate episode of the mouth-watering series.

Barb Dunn, 37, from Brisbane; Claudia Anton, 48, from Melbourne; and Dave Yan, 35, from Sydney are the top trio who will battle it out for baking supremacy next week

The Great Australian Bake Off started nine weeks ago with 12 passionate home bakers stepping into the iconic Bake Off Shed, hoping they had the baking nous to go all the way. Each week, judges Maggie Beer and Matt Moran farewelled one baker until just three were left – Barb, Claudia and Dave.

During the final episode, these three bakers take it to the next level with a Signature of a classic Battenberg cake, an incredibly tricky Technical challenge from Maggie of her Kumquat Rum Babas, and finally a Showstopping Piece Montee – a stunning decorative centrepiece suitable for a grand occasion that also tells a story close to their heart.

Hosted by comedians Claire Hooper and Mel Buttle, the third season ofThe Great Australian Bake Off  has been another ratings success for Lifestyle, and casting for a fourth season is currently underway.

The Great Australian Bake Off grand finale airs  Thursday, March 22 at 8.30pm on Lifestyle.
