Last night’s intense Bachelor in Paradise dropped a few bombshells that no one saw coming.
Following her outburst last night, Keira told Jarrod she cared for him, but only wanted to be friends, leaving him free to pursue other love interests on the island.
Simone was given a date card and picked Jarrod, who was more than happy to accept her offer. The date started with Jarrod carrying Simone into the water, but the romantic gesture was ruined when he accidentally dropped her. Luckily, Simone was able to laugh it off and they went on to try yoga on a paddleboard. Simone and Jarrod enjoyed their time together and it did not take long before things got a bit steamy between them. Afterwards, they enjoyed a few cocktails and a kiss in front of the sunset.
Back in paradise, Eden and Elora started to spend time together, but Eden was worried about betraying Nina’s trust.
Much to everyone’s surprise, host Osher Günsberg arrived to tell the bachelors and bachelorettes that a rose ceremony was happening
At the cocktail party, Keira overheard Jarrod talk about his kiss with Simone. Worried about going home, she pulled Michael aside to see if he would give her a rose. Michael was frank with Keira and told her he did not feel a romantic connection with her and had been thinking about giving his rose to Lisa, but did not want to upset Luke.
Things were going well for Luke and Lisa until Megan asked what they would do if a new person walked into paradise and caught their eye. Luke admitted he would want to give everyone a chance, which left Lisa feeling confused and unsure of where she stood with him.
After his chat with Keira, Michael took Lisa aside to tell her how he was feeling. Lisa felt Michael should have told her about his feelings much earlier on.
Eden was desperate to know how Nina was feeling, so he confronted her over their lack of intimacy. Nina told him although she likes him, she could not give him what he wanted.
At the rose ceremony, Eden shocked everyone by giving his rose to Elora, Grant gave a rose to Ali, Sam gave a rose to Tara, Jake gave a rose to Megan, Jared gave a rose to Leah and Jarrod gave a rose to Simone.
Michael decided to follow his heart and gave a rose to Lisa, much to Luke’s surprise. Michael had to step outside for a minute to gather himself after feeling guilty over betraying Luke.
Blindsided by Michael, Luke gave his rose to Keira, who broke down crying when he told her everyone deserves a second chance, leaving Nina without a rose.
Nina said: “I wasn’t expecting to be going home tonight. Elora’s been here a day and a half and I’ve been here since the start with [Eden]. I’ve been nothing but open and honest to Eden. I’ve made it really clear about my values and I thought he respected those, but it’s very clear he doesn’t.”
Next week on Bachelor In Paradise, Apollo from Sophie’s season of The Bachelorette Australia arrives in paradise and sparks rivalry between Simone and Elora.
