Australia’s Got Talent announces hosts and judges

Nine has got everyone talking with the line up of Australia’s Got Talent.

Kelly Osbourne, Ian “Dicko” Dickson, Eddie Perfect and Sophie Monk have been announced as the judges for the new season of Australia’s Got Talent on the Nine Network in 2016.

They will be joined by Dave Hughes, one of Australia’s favourite comedians, who will host the talent show that celebrates the unique and brilliant from all walks of life. Hughesy will be front and centre, injecting his laconic brand of comedy into proceedings, a style that has seen him become one of Australia’s most successful stand-ups.

International host, fashion designer and singer, Kelly Osbourne will bring her years of showbiz experience, sharp wit and strong opinions to Australia. First rising to prominence as the loud and wickedly funny daughter in MTV reality show The Osbournes, she is now well known for her biting, honest and compassionate commentary from the biggest red carpet events across the globe.  Also, she won the hearts of millions of people being a guest star on Dancing with the Stars.   She was recently added to the Project Runway family in the States as one of the judges for the upcoming series Project Runway: Juniors

Dicko, as he is affectionately known, is no stranger to judging Aussie acts. Loud, proud and bold, but utterly charming, he has years of experience in both music and television. Over five seasons on Australian Idol he cemented himself as the country’s premier talent search judge and proved he isn’t afraid to give completely honest feedback.

Multi-talented performer Eddie Perfect has made his name as an actor, singer, composer and comedian, and will bring his eye for talent to the AGT judging panel. Best known for his role as Mick Holland inOffspring, Eddie, with his experience in so many fields of entertainment, is well placed to help unearth Australia’s next star performer.

Sophie Monk, currently competing in Celebrity Apprentice, is one of Australia’s most popular personalities. Herself a graduate from a TV talent search, she competed in the inaugural season of Popstars which saw her win a place in the popular girl group, Bardot. Since then her sassy and uncensored approach, and a natural ability to entertain, has seen her build an impressive media career across radio, television, film and music.

FremantleMedia Australia & ZigZagTV Executive Producer, Julie Ward, said: “We are so excited about this lineup!  Australia’s Got Talent is a show with surprises at every turn and our judging panel reflects that.  Individually, they have legions of fans and layers of entertainment experience, and together will be a formidable team.”

Nine Executive Producer John Walsh said: “This exciting judging lineup is as diverse as the performers we’re going to see this season on AGT. And we’re thrilled to have Hughesy and his quick wit fronting the show. It’s shaping up to be a cracker of a series.”
