2013 Arias to air on GO

Australian music’s most anticipated night of the year, the 27th Annual ARIA Awards, will be shown exclusively on GO! in a special television event on Sunday.

After an extraordinary year for the ARIA charts, celebrating their 30th anniversary, music’s night of nights will feature international superstar Alicia Keys in her first televised Australian performance. There will also be performances by the awards’ most nominated artist, Flume, along with Jessica Mauboy, Birds of Tokyo, Bliss N Eso, Samantha Jade and Tame Impala.

Nominees vying for the top music awards for 2013 from the Australian Recording Industry Association include Flume, Tame Impala, Birds of Tokyo, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Guy Sebastian, Matt Corby, Keith Urban and Samantha Jade. And Air Supply will be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in recognition of their long career as one of Australia’s most successful music exports.

The ARIA Awards will feature a star-studded lineup of presenters including teen sensation Cody Simpson, Missy Higgins ,John Butler, Katie Noonan, Channel Nine’s Richard Wilkins, Kate Peck and James Kerley.

Australian music has had an astonishing year in 2013, including 11 number one Australian albums, a feat not achieved since 2004. Special guests Dami Im, The Wiggles, Timomatic, Connie (Sneaky Sound System), Emma Louise, The Rubens, Josh Pyke, The Presets, The Preatures, Boy & Bear, Justine Clarke and Emma Pask will all be in attendance to celebrate a year to remember in Australian music.
